SIMI is the only organisation in Czech Republic and among the few, that are in the Central and Eastern Europe, that was introduced into the interactive map, which locates organizations working around the globe to address the intersection of gender and migration through frontline responses, research, advocacy, and mobilization. SIMI was chosen based on the online survey executed from July to September 2020, in which 315 organizations participated. The survey helped to profile the organisation, their type and the sector, in which they participate.

With the Covid-19 outbreak, the situation for many migrant women was more difficult than ever. That's also why the organisations that focused on helping those, which are intersectionality disadvantaged, were more important than ever. The next step for the survey was nineteen in-depth interviews, evenly distributed among regions. Based on the data the interactive map provides the geo-localization of those organizations working on gender and migration that were identified during the mapping project. The partners of the project are the world wide organisation of Woman in Migration Network, which are bringing an intersectional feminist lens to global migration policy. The closest partner is the German Friedrich-Ebert-Stiftung (FES), which focuses on the core ideas and values of social democracy – freedom, justice and solidarity.

Open Society Fund Norway funds Úřad vlády ČR Ladder Alda EU

Tento blog vznikl v rámci projektu „Ženy na vedlejší koleji (?)“, který podpořila Nadace Open Society Fund Praha z programu Dejme (že)nám šanci, který je financován z Norských fondů. Projekt realizoval Sdružení pro integraci a migraci (SIMI) ve spolupráci s FHS Univerzity Karlovy v Praze a Universitou Bergen v období let 2014 - 2016. Od roku 2016 je správa blogu částečně podpořen z prostředků státního rozpočtu ČR v rámci dotace Úřadu vlády ČR z programu Podpora veřejně účelných aktivit nestátních neziskových organizací v oblasti rovnosti žen a mužů, a to v rámci série projektů "Migrantky mezi ženami". V roce 2017 probíhala správa blogu za spolufinancování z projektu „Migrant women among us“, podpořeného v rámci programu ENAR National Projects a financovaného z prostředků Joseph Rowntree Charitable Trust a dále z projektu „Migrant Women among us“, realizovaného v rámci regrantovacího programu projektu LADDER – Local Authorities as Drivers for Development Education & Raising awareness, realizovaného organizací ALDA– the Association of Local Democracy z podpory Evropské unie.
